Indoor Water Testing Monterey

Since your drinking water is essential to your overall well-being, M3 Environmental LLC in Monterey can set your mind at ease through accurate indoor water testing.

Private Well Water Testing & Inspection

Drinking water sourced from a private well is of particular concern and should be tested annually. While public water supplies are subject to EPA standards and testing, private wells are the responsibility of the owners. Wells are exposed to a variety of hazards, both environmental and physical, including fertilizers, chemicals, petroleum products, microbial overgrowth, and other toxins. Wells are particularly susceptible after flooding and continued drought conditions. Even if your well water tastes and looks fine, you should still have it tested. It may contain undetectable levels of bacteria or chemicals that may make you sick and, in some cases, lead to death.

Public Supply Water Testing

Public water supplies fall under the jurisdiction of the Environmental Protection Agency, which requires that your water be monitored and treated if it contains unsafe levels of contaminants. The Safe Drinking Water Act has not been updated for many years, and your tap water may still contain health hazards from over 60,000 chemicals that have been introduced into the environment. Many of these chemicals have entered our water source aquifers, hundreds of which have been associated with a risk of cancer and other diseases. Most of these chemicals are not regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Even though the water you obtain from your water company may be safe, it can become contaminated by out-of-date pipes and plumbing. You can rely on M3 Environmental LLC to provide indoor water testing to ascertain the safety of public drinking water.
